Project 33: Planetary Dignities and Character

Objective

To investigate whether "Essential Dignity" (a planet's strength by sign) correlates with professional success in relevant fields, using a dataset of 758 Creative Geniuses (Project 16 data).

Methodology

Key Findings

1. Writers (n=139)

Significant findings (p < 0.05):

2. Filmmakers (n=53)

Significant findings:

3. Null Results (The Surprises)

Conclusion

Essential Dignity appears to be a mixed predictor. It works well for Directors (Sun) and distinction in Writers (Mars weakness, Moon strength), but fails to distinguish visual artists or musicians. This suggests that "Talent" often comes from friction (Aspects) rather than pure "Strength" (Dignity), or that modern professions are more complex than medieval planetary archetypes.

Visualizations

Heatmaps and histograms with both conventional Tropical and Vedic placements showing how each profession deviates from the average dignity score.*

Phase 2: Vedic Analysis (Sidereal/Lahiri)

A comparative analysis was run using the Sidereal Zodiac (Lahiri Ayanamsa) to see if shifting the zodiac frame improved the signal.

Significant Result: Inventors & Saturn

Comparison: | Occupation | Planet | Tropical P-Val | Sidereal P-Val | Conclusion | |---|---|---|---|---| | Filmmakers | Sun | 0.027 | 0.057 | Tropical Stronger | | Writers | Mars | 0.011 | 0.45 (NS) | Tropical Much Stronger | | Inventors | Saturn | 0.52 (NS) | 0.045 | Sidereal Specific |

Note: The "Writer" signal (Weak Mars) completely vanished in Sidereal, suggesting that effect is tied to the Tropical seasonal zodiac or is coincidental.
