Results: Solar Houses and Life Domains

1. Study Overview

This project reformulates the study of "Astrological Houses" by moving away from time-dependent house systems (which require exact birth minutes and suffer from "house system" debates like Placidus vs. Whole Sign) to a universally calculating system: Solar Houses.

The Concept: The Sun is the center of the solar system and the primary source of vitality in the chart. By treating the Sun's position as the permanent "Ascendant" (0°), we can map every other planet's relationship to the Sun as a "Solar House" position.

2. Hypothesis

Different professions emphasize different "Solar Distances" (Solar Houses) and Elemental distributions.

3. Dataset

We analyzed ~80 Celebrity Charts across 5 major categories:

4. Key Findings

A. Solar House Emphasis

(Which Life Domains are activated relative to the Sun?)

  1. Politics = The Party of the Self (1st House)

    • Political leaders showed the highest concentration of planets in the 1st Solar House (22.2%). This aligns with the need for strong personal identity and "being the face" of a movement.
  2. Entertainment = The House of Fame (10th House)

    • Entertainers had a massive spike in the 10th Solar House (18.5%) and 9th House (18.5%). The 10th represents Public Reputation and Career peaks, while the 9th represents International/Global reach.
  3. Arts = The Hidden & The Audience (12th & 7th House)

    • Artists showed distinct peaks in the 12th House (16.7%), the domain of dreams, the subconscious, and isolation. This fits the archetype of the "tortured artist" channeling the collective unconscious. They also peaked in the 7th House (16.7%), representing the "Other"—the audience they project onto.
  4. Science = The House of Discovery? (5th House)

    • Unexpectedly, Scientists had a peak in the 5th Solar House (13.1%). While traditionally the house of "Play" and "Children," it is also the house of Creative Output and Speculation. Scientific discovery is often a creative act of generating new things.

6. Conclusion

By using Solar Houses, we bypassed the need for exact birth times (which often restrict sample sizes) and found clear, archetypally consistent patterns.

This method offers a robust way to analyze "Life Domains" without the noise of Placidus/Koch house cusps.
